Invitation to an open Tampere IAS Colloquium on Interdisciplinarity on 17 May 2023

The Tampere IAS May Colloquium is looking at interdisciplinarity. Rather than research policy context, the event concentrates on looking at interdisciplinarity from individual researchers’ perspective. Two experts, Miles MacLeod (University of Twente) and Michiro Nagatsu (HELSUS at University of Helsinki) will guide the participants through a discussion on issues relevant to the construction of robust and productive interdisciplinary projects and relationships as well as the means of assessing the payoffs and risks of engaging in it.

Time: 13.00-16.45
Place: Technopolis Yliopistonrinne, Room Häggman

The Tampere Institute for Advanced Study (or “Tutkijakollegium”) Research Fellows convene monthly for a colloquium to discuss a topic related to scientific work and career, crucially important to researchers from all scientific backgrounds. Typically, a colloquium is a mixture of lectures, workshops, and joint discussion.
