Bioinspired Materials and Robotics

In the Bioinspired Materials and Robotics group, the main goal of our research is to fabricate, interface and assemble microsystems made of heterogeneous materials, including liquids, soft, adhesive, bioinspired and/or biotic materials. The targeted applications are in robotics and microfluidics.

Specifically, we work on:
1) Understanding and modifying the surface properties of materials
2) Integrating actuators, intelligence and sensing into smart microsystems
3) Applications in robotics, material characterization and biomedicine
