Jarmo Kallunki defended his dissertation 7 June on intergenerational transmission of lifestyles

The Tampere Group of Sociology of Culture member Jarmo Kallunki defended his doctoral dissertation on 7 June 2023 on the intergenerational transmission of socially stratified lifestyles. The Opponent was Professor Henk Roose (Ghent University, Belgium).

Jarmo’s dissertation, The Intergenerational Transmission of Socially Stratified Lifestyles (available open access at https://urn.fi/URN:ISBN:978-952-03-2899-3), was successfully defended on Wednesday 7 June at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Tampere University. Professor Henk Roose from Ghent University, Belgium, acted as the Opponent, while Semi Purhonen from Tampere University acted as the Custos.

Jarmo will continue working in the research group as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Academy of Finland funded Cultures of the Working Class in the 2020s (CuWoC) project.
