New Personnel – Research Assistants

Research Assistants. Aarne, white male, blond hair, black t-shirt. Ellinoora, while female, blond long hair, glasses, pink sweater. Konsta, white male, glasses, hat, jeans jacket, striped shirt.

Laboratory for Future Electronics has new Research Assistants as summer employees working in Professor Matti Mäntysalo’s group.

Aarne Jauho is electronics student at TAU and his main interests in the field of electronics are power and biomechanical electronics. His hobbies include electronic prototyping and building and he is also active in TELOK ry as board member. Aarne is working with ECOtronics project aiming to find solution for power management in power module and he will be manufacturing circuit boards and supercapacitors as well.

Ellinoora Toivonen is third year student at TAU majoring is electronics she is really interested in biodegradable electronics, sustainability and new manufacturing methods. She will be starting her master’s studies in the upcoming fall.  This summer Ellinoora will be working with ECOtronics project focusing on biodegradable materials in electronics. In her research she will be actively using inkjet printing and learning 3d-printing technique as well. As part of her work she will be doing literature review about biodegradable materials in electronics.  Ellinoora is excited to spend her summer working in LFE lab in the field that she is interested in.

Konsta Rönkkä is a first-year electronics student at TAU. He has s background in studying physics in Aalto University before starting studies of electronics and signal processing here in Tampere. Konstas background gave him an opportunity to work on his Bachelor’s Thesis during this summer at LFE. His work includes mimicking cutaneous receptors with simple piezoelectronic and capacitive sensors, that could in the future possibly be implemented with printable electronics. Konsta is grateful for the opportunity to work in academia and to also further his studies at the same time.

Aarne, Ellinoora and Konsta will be working in LFE laboratory until the end of August.
