TransLocalis Database has been awarded the major cultural project grant of the Alfred Kordelin Foundation


HEX’s TransLocalis Database has been awarded the major cultural project grant of the Alfred Kordelin Foundation. A 2-year funding of €279,000 was awarded to the project led by Professor Pertti Haapala and Postdoctoral research fellow Heikki Kokko. The project will carry out research on the nationwide phenomenon of readers’ letters in the 19th century Finnish-language press and publish a digital database of the readers’ letters online.
