Tampere region received 15,25 million euros for the implementation of the social welfare and healthcare reform

The future social welfare and healthcare project and the reform supportive to it is launched in Tampere region. The activities will start during autumn 2020.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has granted the Future Social Welfare and Healthcare centre project a grant worth 5 921 081 € and for the Social Welfare and Healthcare reform -project 9 329 760 €, both launched in Tampere region during autumn 2020.

“In Tampere region the social welfare and healthcare services will from now on be created together”, says director of change Jaakko Herrala from the council of Tampere region. “The reform will bring along a unified structure for the development and production of social welfare and healthcare services”, Herrala continues.

“Within the reform, earlier work on social welfare and healthcare reform will be utilised”, states regional director Jukka Alasentie for the council of Tampere region.
