The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) has established a new research network to support the future social welfare and healthcare centre programme

The network came together for the first time in January 22nd 2020 bringing together actors interested in the research of social welfare and healthcare services from various universities and regions. The participants represented both experienced researchers as well as young scholars in line with research-oriented service developers united by interest on phenomena related to future social welfare and healthcare centres and research on the impact of services.

The aim of the network is create an open discussion and peer learning arena for people interested in the networks´ themes, to combine research that may be utilised in the development of future social welfare and healthcare centre, recognised possible gaps in existing academic research and to enable collaboration on research across various actors and disciplines.
