Verne in brief
Transport Research Centre Verne at Tampere University is a research group of about 10 professionals in transport and logistics. Verne networking actively both internationally and in Finland. Our core is to endevour towards a more sustainable transport system and logistics and to educate professionals to this field.
Verne’s research and education focus on transport system and logistics. We consider both passenger and freight transport in connection with the needs of people, business and society at large, the built environment and the infrastructure, transport policy and economics, and the development especially from the point of view of sustainability.
