Transport Research Centre Verne

Transport Research Centre Verne is a research group in transport and logistics at Tampere University, Finland. Our core is to endevour towards a more sustainable transport system and logistics and to educate professionals to this field. Verne is networking actively both internationally and nationally.

Verne’s research and education focus on the transport system and logistics. We consider both passenger and freight transport in connection with the needs of people, business and society at large, the built environment and the infrastructure, transport policy and economics, and the development especially from the point of view of sustainability and futures.
