Lived Religion and Everyday Life in Early Modern Hagiographic Material

The book Lived Religion and Everyday Life in Early Modern Hagiographic Material, edited by HEX researchers Jenni Kuuliala and Rose-Marie Peake with Päivi Räisänen-Schröder (University of Helsinki) has been published. The articles included in the collection investigate the possibilities of hagiographic sources from the fifteenth to the seventeenth centuries to the study of lived religion. The book is the first one published in the series “Palgrave Studies in the History of Experience”, which is a collaboration between Palgrave Macmillan and HEX. The series will publish works on the histories of experience across historical time and global space, with the aim to deepen the methodology and conceptualization of the history of lived experiences. The editors of the series are Pirjo Markkola, Raisa Maria Toivo, and Ville Kivimäki.
