Course Objectives
- Understand the principles and challenges of electrification and decarbonization of off-road mobile machinery.
- Explore novel hydraulic architectures such as electro-hydraulic actuation (EHA), multi-pressure, digital hydraulics
- Analyze efficiency, noise reduction, and control strategies in electrified systems.
- Dive in electric drives and core components design and modeling technologies for hybrid and fully electric systems.
- Understand open research challenges
Target Audience
PhD students in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and related fields with interest in off-road mobile machinery, fluid power/hydraulics, and electrification. Also, R&D engineers are welcome!
