NSB 2026

The next Nordic Symposium on Building Physics, NSB, will be held at Tampere Hall on 7–10 June 2026, hosted by the Building Physics research group at the University of Tampere. The organiser of the conference was decided at the NSB 2023 conference held on 12–14 June 2023.

The symposium will be held every three years in different Nordic countries, and the 2026 event will be the fourteenth of its kind. Three years ago, the symposium was held in Estonia for the first time. The target group of the symposium is researchers, engineers and construction professionals.

The symposium will be held in Finland for the third time in 2026. The Building Physics Research Group of Tampere University of Technology also hosted the event last time in 2011. The symposium was held in Espoo for the first time in Finland in 1996.

The symposium, which has been held since 1987, is the longest-running and one of the largest building physics symposiums in the world. More than 300 participants are expected to attend. The symposium in the Nordic countries is not limited to the cold climate – the event has grown and attracts participants from all over the world, and more than half of the participants are now from outside the Nordic countries.
