The Building Physics Research Group of Tampere University and Kiinko are organising a building physics conference next autumn at Tampere Hall on 24–26 October 2023. The event, organised for the eighth time, brings together construction industry professionals to listen to and discuss new research results and good practical solutions in the field. The biennial Building Physics Conference is the largest professional conference in the construction industry in Finland. The keynote speakers of the conference will include Jan Carmeliet (ETH Zurich, Switzerland), who is currently the world’s number one name in building physics, and Michael Lacasse (NRC, Ottawa Canada), who is one of the leading building physicists in North America.
The Moisture-Safe Construction Award will be awarded for the sixth time, which aims to highlight the key role of moisture management during construction and the moisture performance of structures in the implementation of a safe, healthy and long-lasting building. The aim of the competition is to highlight good practices, implementation methods and products that aim to improve the moisture safety of buildings. The competition applies to both new construction and renovation.
The Call for Papers brochure contains more information about the event and the dates and topics of the presentation proposals. For example, low-carbon and natural structural solutions combined with a building physics entity are a growing trend at the conference.
Presentation proposals must be sent by 22 May 2023 via the conference website at: www.rakennusfysiikka.net.
