The Building Physics conference will be held for the eighth time – featuring high-level international keynote speakers

The Building Physics 2023 conference will be held at Tampere Hall on 24–26 October 2023.

The Building Physics 2023 conference will be held as usual in the autumn at Tampere Hall on 24–26 October 2023. We are organizing the event again together with Kiinko. The content and setting of the conference are in line with the traditions of the eighth edition of the event.

The Building Physics conference has become one of the largest professional events in the construction industry in Finland. The three-day conference will feature approximately 90 speeches, four of which will be from top foreign researchers. The participants include Jan Carmeliet, the world’s leading building physicist from Switzerland, and Michael Lacasse, one of the leading researchers in North America, from Canada. The Nordic perspective is represented by Kristina Mjörnell from Sweden, who specialises in renovation. Research on low-carbon and natural materials and structures has grown as a topic of the conference in recent years, and Andrew Shea from the UK will be a speaker in this topic.
