The Building Physics Research Group organizes the next Nordic Symposium on Building Physics NSB 2026

The Nordic Symposium on Building Physics (NSB) will be held in Tampere in 2026.

The next Nordic symposium on building physics, NSB, will be held at Tampere Hall on 7–10 June 2026, hosted by the Building Physics Research Group at Tampere University. The organiser of the conference was decided at the NSB 2023 conference held on 12–14 June 2023.

The conference will be held every three years in different Nordic countries, and the 2026 event will be the fourteenth of its kind. Three years ago, the conference was also held in Estonia for the first time. The target group of the conference is researchers, engineers and construction professionals.

The conference will be held in Finland for the third time in 2026. The Building Physics Research Group of Tampere University of Technology also hosted the event last time in 2011. The conference was held in Espoo for the first time in Finland in 1996.

The conference, which has been held since 1987, is the longest-running and one of the largest building physics conferences in the world. More than 300 participants are expected to attend. The conference in the Nordic countries is not limited to the cold climate, and the growing event attracts participants from all over the world, with more than half of the participants now coming from outside the Nordic countries.
